MSM and next Monday's meeting

We will be having a very serious discussion about Volunteer hours at the next Leaders’ Meeting. The Executive Committee has updated all of the service hours and attendance and I am very disappointed. We need 75% of the club to have at least 100 service hours or more. Currently, only 14 people have more than 50 hours. We have to apply for a Level 3 status in April, and if we did that right now, we would have zero Leaders with more than 100 hours. If you are going to Blue Ridge, you NEED 100 hours or more. If you joined the club in January and are going to Blue Ridge you NEED 50 hours or more.

And I’m not big on comparing us to other clubs, but Siskey requires 200 hours to attend Blue Ridge.

Now, I don’t want to be completely harsh in this e-mail, so I want to also make sure you know that you can do this. You still can volunteer at the Y in Leaders’ Club, play sports, and get your homework done. This is the best preparation you will have for college and life in the real world.

So, in saying that, please take a look at your calendars. We have LOTS of volunteer work for you. Just ask Michaela.

We have MSM this Saturday from 6:45 pm – 10:45 pm. Please let me know if you can come. Thanks.
