IV.                 November 27th meeting.

We will go to McCailster’s for Dinner. Bring $5 - $8 for dinner. This meeting is optional, but I need a headcount. You will get meeting credit hours for it though, and will get an unexcused absence if you do not RSVP to it as we need two bus drivers.

VII.               Volunteer Events and Important Dates:

 

Event: Middle School Madness

Date: Saturday, November 17th

Time: 6:45 pm – 10:45 pm

Attire: Jeans and Volunteer shirt

Tasks: Selling concessions

 

Event:  Breakfast with Santa

Date:  Saturday, December 1st

Time: 8:00AM – 10:30AM & 10:00AM – 12:30PM or both if you would like

Location:  Morrison Family YMCA ~ Basketball Gym

Attire:  Jeans, tennis shoes, red or white shirts (we will give you Santa hats)

Tasks:  Assisting our photographer, assisting with food and tickets

Rain Plan:  This is an indoor event and is on rain or shine

 

Program:  Basketball Clinics (A total of 20+ hours of volunteer service)

Days:  Saturdays for 8 weeks ~ you do need to be able to attend all sessions to volunteer as you will be the coach for the children

Dates: Saturday, December 8th through Saturday, February 9th (no clinics on 12/22 or 12/29)

Times:  8:00-10:30 a.m. or 10:00-12:30 p.m. (up to 1 p.m. if needed)

Location:  TBA ~ but most likely will not be at the Morrison YMCA, it will be close though

Attire:  Volunteer shirt (mandatory so that parent’s know you are a volunteer), athletic shorts or pants and tennis shoes or basketball shoes

Details:  This will entail helping children between the ages of 3-5 in learning the basics about basketball including dribbling, shooting, etc., so you do not need to be a pro to do this! J
